Chloé Windell to represent South Africa at Dance World Cup Finals in Spain
13 May 2025Year 12 AS/A-Level learner Chloé Windell from Courtney House International is once again stepping onto the global stage – this time at the 2025 Dance World Cup Finals in Burgos, Spain. The event will take place from 3 to 12 July and follows her strong showing at the South African Qualifier held in Centurion earlier this year, where she placed 1st, 2nd, and 4th in the Jazz, Lyrical, and Contemporary dance categories.

A consistent performer on the world stage
Chloé’s journey in competitive dance has taken her across continents. She began her international career at the American Dance Awards in Miami, Florida, in 2022. Since then, she has competed in the Dance World Cup South Africa Qualifier for three consecutive years. In 2023, she travelled to Braga, Portugal, where she won three World Cup titles in the Jazz and Lyrical disciplines. The following year in Prague, Czech Republic, she earned two vice World Cup titles in the same categories.
Her repeat selection to represent South Africa at the World Finals is a reflection of consistent performance and strong results under pressure.
Selected for elite global ballet company
In addition to competing individually, Chloé was selected in 2024 to join the Dance World Cup Contemporary Ballet Company – a group of 22 dancers chosen from around the world. Under the direction of renowned British choreographer Richard Wherlock, the company presented original works that highlighted the strength and versatility of its members. Chloé has once again been selected to join this company in 2025.

Looking ahead
As Chloé prepares for the World Finals in Spain, she also looks toward her future. She plans to pursue further studies at Stellenbosch University next year but remains open to opportunities that may arise during or after her upcoming performances.
Chloé’s consistent achievements are a source of pride for Courtney House International, and the whole of Curro are looking forward to following her progress on the international stage.
