Courtney House International earns three ‘Top in South Africa’ Cambridge awards
13 May 2026Four Cambridge awards across two exam sittings have placed Courtney House International learners among the country’s strongest academic performers, with three ‘Top in South Africa’ results recently confirmed in the latest Cambridge International Education announcements.
The recognition spans AS-Level and IGCSE subjects written during the June and November 2025 exam series.

National top marks across subjects
Cambridge’s Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards recognise the highest marks in a subject within a country, as well as exceptional performance across multiple subjects.
At Courtney House International, three learners accounted for four awards.
Terry Mabuni received a High Achievement Award in AS-Level French Language. Terry, a Curro alumnus and former Curro Create AMP recipient, is now studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Stellenbosch University on the DW Ackermann bursary.

Camilla Moeletsi secured ‘Top in South Africa’ for AS-Level Business in the June sitting. Camilla, also a Curro alumna, is currently studying Actuarial Science at the University of Johannesburg.

Alvin Munanda achieved ‘Top in South Africa’ for IGCSE Geography and placed first overall nationally for performance across eight subjects in the November sitting. His results also earned recognition at the Curro Gala Awards.

Performance across a full academic load
Alvin’s result stands out for its breadth. First place across eight subjects reflects sustained performance rather than a single standout paper.
Across the cohort, the awards point to strong subject outcomes in both language and commerce streams, alongside consistent results in a full academic programme.
The school noted that the results ‘highlight the depth of teaching quality and subject mastery evident at CHI’.
A recognised Cambridge pathway
Courtney House International confirmed that the school has been identified as a Curro Top Cambridge School, reflecting consistent results aligned with international benchmarks.
Cambridge qualifications remain widely recognised by universities, with AS-Level and IGCSE forming part of a structured academic pathway that supports local and international study options.
With four awards across two exam sessions, Courtney House International’s latest results place its learners firmly among the country’s top Cambridge candidates.
