Our classes are divided by age, and we carefully control the number of children per class to ensure that they are all cared for and entertained. Our preschool programme engages inherent curiosity and love of play, while supporting children’s well-being all-round. We also form part of the Curro school group, and teaching takes place in English, Afrikaans and German.

The Cambridge curriculum

We follow the Cambridge Early Years curriculum which takes learners on an exciting educational journey from a young age. This international curriculum gives young learners the best start in life, helping them to meet key early milestones and thrive in and outside of school. This is the first stage in our Cambridge Pathway, which gives learners a clear path for educational success from ages 3 to 19.

In our preschool, we still take a child-centred, play-based approach. This means that, instead of having our young children sit at tables in a formal manner, they use their bodies and senses to experience the day’s topics and activities. This prepares children for the formal learning that starts in Year 2 in primary school.

How big are the classes

Children need lots of attention and nurturing. That is why our classes are divided by age, and we carefully control the number of children in each class. Our teachers also have one or more assistants, depending on the age group and number of children in the class. By having a limited number of children in class, our teachers can give each one the individual care and attention they need to flourish and feel loved.
